Spirit Week – Every year in October we have a homecoming week before Middle School sports game. It is a special week where students dress up in line with the days’ theme.
Anasheed Time – Toward the end of each month we gather in the school foyer for songs and games. This bring out the students’ skills and talents outside the classroom.
Open House and Orientation – Prior to first day of school, you come and meet your child’s teachers. Bring school supplies, eat ice cream and play fun games in class. Scavenger hunt (optional)
Field Trips – In the Fall lower level homeroom teachers plan a field trip to either an apple orchard or a pumpkin patch farm. Other trips are planned to the bowling alley and to ……. The Middle School students’ favorite trip is to Chicago, by train. Camp Tecumseh trip is an overnight trip in Brookstone, Indiana and is planned in May. The intermediate level students look forward to this trip.
Arabic Day – Avicenna tradition is to celebrate the coming of Spring with Arabic songs and plays from what the students have learned through-out the year.
Field Day – At the end of each year and in May, Teachers and students enjoy a picnic and fun activities in the nearby field to the campus. This is to celebrate the end of school.
